The Savannah Bananas are bringing their wildly popular brand of baseball entertainment back to Baton Rouge in March 2027, with two performances scheduled at LSU, including a historic first appearance inside Tiger Stadium.
LSU Athletics announced the return as part of its Death Valley Live Stadium Series, a partnership involving the Baton Rouge Area Foundation, Greater Baton Rouge Economic Partnership and Visit Baton Rouge.
The Bananas will return to Alex Box Stadium on Thursday, March 4, before making their Tiger Stadium debut on Saturday, March 6.
Since launching in 2016, the Savannah Bananas have become a national sensation by combining competitive baseball with choreographed dancing, comedy, crowd participation and unconventional rules.
Their signature game, known as Banana Ball, features 11 special rules designed to keep the action moving. Among them are a two-hour time limit, no traditional walks, a point-per-inning scoring system and a rule allowing fans to record an out by catching a foul ball.
The March appearances will also mark another return to Alex Box Stadium, where the Bananas have previously entertained sold-out crowds.
