Hill country blues, barbecue and a good cause come together Friday, October 9, when Cedric and Garry Burnside bring Burnside Exploration II to Beauvoir Park. Doors open at 6 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m. and the show beginning at 8 p.m.
The Mid City gathering is an official Baton Rouge Blues Fest fundraiser. Salt Pepper Oak will serve barbecue for purchase, while Pelican to Mars will operate a cash bar. Outside alcohol is not permitted.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the nonprofit Baton Rouge Blues Festival and Foundation. General admission is $20 before fees, giving local blues fans a chance to hear the Burnsides in an intimate outdoor setting while supporting the festival.
