Louisiana Art & Science Museum will host Sensory Second Sunday on October 4, offering a thoughtful afternoon for visitors who benefit from a calmer museum environment.
From 3 to 5 p.m., LASM will dim lights and lower music throughout the museum. Quiet areas, fidget toys, noise-reducing headphones and art supplies will be available, helping guests choose the level of stimulation that works best for them.
Captioned planetarium shows are also planned during the session. Sensory Second Sunday is included with general admission and gives families a welcoming way to explore art and science at their own pace in downtown Baton Rouge.
