Families looking for an easy Saturday outing can head to Independence Community Park on Saturday, October 24, 2026, for Full Moon Fete, a free Halloween event scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. at 7500 Independence Boulevard in Baton Rouge.
BREC promotes Full Moon Fete as a family-friendly celebration with trunk-or-treating, live entertainment, vendors, character visits and activities, giving local children a costume-friendly seasonal event in one of the city’s best-known community park settings.
That mix of free admission, treat collecting and daytime fun makes this one especially appealing for parents who want festive fall plans without a late night. Bring the kids in costume, stroll the trunks and enjoy a lively community atmosphere before Halloween week gets even busier.
Event Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026
