The Angola Prison Rodeo is scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola. The official rodeo site currently lists the October 25 rodeo as sold out, while noting hobby craft-only tickets will be available that Sunday for visitors.
The event is promoted by organizers as the only remaining prison rodeo in America. The official site also states that all regular rodeo tickets are priced at $25 and sold online or by phone when available.
Even with rodeo seating sold out, the listing signals strong regional interest and gives last-minute planners a clear heads-up before making the trip. For longtime Louisiana fall traditions, few events are as distinctive, widely recognized or conversation-starting as a Sunday at Angola.
Event Date: Sunday, October 25, 2026
