Weather permitting, Highland Road Park Observatory will offer views of the Sun using four methods: an image projected onto a white surface, direct optical viewing, direct hydrogen-alpha viewing, and direct Calcium K viewing.
Solar Cycle 25 is predicted to peak around this time, and observatory personnel have scheduled public solar viewing on a variety of days throughout the week. Protective clothing and sunscreen are recommended.
